Musa can be dyed, embossed, foiled, printed and customised for a variety
of industrial needs. It meets the technical specifications required by the
prospective industries.The key resource used in the making of Musa is Banana stem fibres, extracted from
the stems of banana plant (Musa genus) which needs to be cut for new sprouts to grow.
This post harvest waste holds a promise as an exceptional alternate to be processed
into a strong base for the developed material.
‘Waste’ is an idea that human came up with. In nature, there is no waste because everything is used. Musa acknowledges these laws of nature and brings new income streams to local farmers, empowering them to fully utilise the potential of their crops. Musa is NOT a vegan leather as it uses natural wool as one of its components. It is NOT GRS certified either as it is not made from recycled materials.
It is tested for chemical, physical and material composition as per international standards. We can provide the required reports if needed for the same.
