Environmentally and economically viable, MUSA is shaped with culture, rooted in wisdom
and adapted to modern sensibilities.

// Harvest
After the bananas are harvested and the plant is cut for new sprouts to grow, we take away the bulky stems which are considered waste.

// Make
Local women come together to separate layers of the stem and further decorticate in order to extract the fibre. Banana fibres are then left to dry in the sun.

// Transform
The banana fibres are further combined and blended with supplementary wool, responsibly sourced from surplus of the local herding communities, giving us a rich, dynamic bioleather MUSA.

// Secure
The material is then flattened, heat pressed and finished in various luxurious styles.
Musa can be dyed, embossed, foiled printed and customised for a variety of industrial needs. It holds the technical specifications required by the prospective industries.
// Design
Musa can be designed in to exciting products, from furniture to accessories. It is the next-gen material for sustainable brands, designers, retailers and artists.
“Nothing we make comes at a cost”
No harmful or banned chemicals are used in the making of Musa
